Kim and Joe are friends of mine and I was honored when they asked me to take their engagement pictures. They wanted that Austin feel for their pictures so we went to all over downtown and ended up at the "Greeting from Austin" sign. We had a fun afternoon and got some good photos.

Brenda and Mark are so cute together it's no wonder they were chosen as eHarmony's couple of 2008! Yep, that's right they are going to be on the commercials! Their wedding was on Lake Travis and it the sweetest ceremony. I think you can tell from the photos how much fun they have together and how much they love each other. So sweet. :)

I was excited to photograph Tracie & Justin's wedding at the beautiful Plantation House. What a fun wedding! I think you'll be able to tell by the pictures. It also doesn't hurt that Tracie is very photogenic and looks gorgeous in every picture. Enjoy!

Aimee & Trey Engaged!

One thing I love about my job is all the neat places I get to go. Aimee & Trey's engagement session was no exception. We went to Castell, population 23. It's a neat little town on the Llano River. Aimee's grandparents had a house there so she spent a lot of time in Castell growing up. We even ran across some of the town's people sitting outside the general store who showed us a "famous rooster" (famous because it's on youtube). Aimee & Trey have a cute meeting story too. They met briefly in high school even though they lived in separate towns over an hour away from each other. They both decided to go to Texas A&M and ended up as next door neighbors in the dorm. They started out as friends and then ended up dating. They are such a sweet couple and I had a great time spending the afternoon with them.

Chelsea & Lyle Engaged!

It was a family affair at Chelsea & Lyle's Engagement session. Chelsea's mom, dad, sister and dog all came along to help out. I spend the whole morning with them and they are such a nice family! A big thanks to Chelsea's dad and sister for acting as my assistants during the shoot! I loved their little dog too. He had a tie on for the pictures! So cute. :)

I'm excited to finally post pictures Kari & Hank's beautiful wedding. They got married at the LBJ Wildflower Center. It was my first wedding there and I loved it. They picked the perfect time of year for a wedding there. There were wildflowers everywhere! They also saw each other before the wedding so we got some amazing pictures of the two of them. Enjoy!

You know those couples that are just so in love you can just see it in everything they do? That's Jennifer & Matt. They were so sweet with each other during the session. They made my job easy! Mix that with a fabulous location and it equals great engagement photos. I'm very excited for their wedding next February!

There were horse stables and they got to ride one! One of the horses was very curious of my camera. He came up and put his nose on my face! I kept taking pictures and these two are from him sniffing me.

Aren't Ashley & Jesse the cutest couple? They hired me to shoot their engagement photos. Unfortuantely, I'm not shooting their wedding because they were the 2009 winners of the Austin Wedding Day Ultimate Wedding Giveaway. They won a free wedding! Isn't that neat? They are a great couple and I'm sure the wedding is going to be beautiful.

Brooke & Joe live in Lubbock so we had to wait for spring break for their engagement session. We started the session in their Texas Tech clothes with their adorable dog, Wrigley. Wrigley stayed with us the whole time and is quite the model. He was good at making Brook and Joe laugh! I also have to thank Brooke's mom who worked as my assistant during the shoot. :)

Hailey & Ryan wanted their engagement session to have an "Austin" feel so we hit all the popular downtown Austin spots. They are such a great couple. They first met when Hailey had a crush on Ryan in middle school! How cute is that? I can't wait for their wedding in November!

I had such a great time spending the afternoon with Janie & Ian. It was very cold and rainy that day but they were troopers and didn't seem to mind the cold or the mud. Janie found all of these awesome locations. We even found SXSW graffiti which was so fitting because they met at SXSW 8 years ago! We finished the session at the Frog Design party where they got me in VIP. :) They met 8 years ago almost to the day (1 day off) at the Frog Design party... how cool is that?

Problems with Photobucket

So I guess I exceeded the monthly allowed limit for photobucket. I use them to upload photos to my blog. Everything is fixed now so if you still can't view the photos (and it says "photobucket bandwidth exceeded upgrade to pro now") you will need to clear your browser's cache and refresh. Sorry for any problems!

Jona is one of my best friends and a very talented photographer. On Tuesday we went on a "get creative" road trip. We decided that we would go where ever would make a great photo even if that meant jumping fences (which we didn't do). We drove through Devil's Backbone & Canyon Lake and then finally ended up in Gruene. We found this great piece of land with tall grass and a couple of abandoned tubing buses. Jona said this was the first time anyone has ever photographed her because she is usually behind the camera. You would never know it because she is gorgeous in the pictures! I had a hard time picking my favorites because she is just so pretty.

In this picture Jona looks like she has angel wings. This was a real reflection of the windows in the ceiling of the bus! I did not add this in photoshop. I didn't even notice it while I was taking the picture.

Ricky & Justin

I shot Ricky & Justin's wedding a little over a year ago in Lubbock. It was about 17 degrees that winter day with 60 mph winds. Needless to say we didn't get any fun pictures of the two of them (wedding dresses aren't good for cold weather). I went to Lubbock a couple weeks ago and we did an after session. I just have to say I LOVE Lubbock for photos! There were so many places we wanted to go but the sun went down too quickly so we only got to go to a few locations. We had a lot of fun and I recommend after session to all my couples!

Casey & Blake got married at the neatest place outside of Boerne. It had so much character and I haven't seen anything else like it. Casey is absolutely beautiful and they were such a great couple to photograph. I loved working with them!

Wilhelmina!

Mitch and I got Wilhelmina in December from Fort Worth. She is a doberman and her name means fierce protector in German. I haven't posted any of pictures of her yet. Here are some from the day after we got her and some of her now. She is almost 4 months old. She's a stinker. :)

I had just gotten my new video lights and I was testing them out on her. She was scared and hiding behind the couch!

Chelsea & Todd had both their ceremony and reception at Austin Country Club. The ceremony was very elegant and full of emotion. The reception was fun, fun, fun. This group danced the night away! I loved their wedding and had a great time photographing it.

Casey had such great ideas for her bridal session. We went to La Grange and did a photo shoot on her Grandparent's land. There were so many great places to take pictures! Casey was so awesome in front of the camera I'd swear she used to model.

Jenny & Sean's wedding was at a church in Cedar Park and their reception was at the Oasis. I loved how the photos turned out because you can really tell they were having a great time with their friends and family. Here are some pictures of Jona and I as we explored Chicago together. We had such a great time! We had a day before the wedding to have fun so we went on a double decker bus tour through the city and road the L train to go shopping. Jona's sister took us to a neat place with a view of the skyline to eat dinner.

I went with Jona to Chicago to shoot Barbara & Ryan's wedding. We had a blast! It was my first time in Chicago and I fell in love with the city. It was in the 70's the entire time we were there. Barbara & Ryan had the most amazing wedding. It was at this beautiful church and the reception was in an art gallery. I've never been to a wedding with the reception in an art gallery and I recommend it! It was really neat.

I'm finally posting the pictures from Adam & Laura's wedding in Mexico. We had so much fun hanging out with them and all their friends and families. Laura and Adam have to be one of the easiest couples I've ever photographed. They were awesome! The wedding was beautiful and had a backdrop of turquoise water and blue sky. What more could a photographer ask for?!
